Project Summary
Cathy Wilkin put together a show featuring six of her artworks at TAG/The Artists Gallery in Frederick, MD in September 2022. Her work combines collages and paintings to reflect her life and memories.
Cathy hired me to design marketing items to help her promote her show. She requested a postcard, a banner, a poster, vinyl lettering for the gallery wall, and two social ads. I provided Cathy with a few alternative social ads to mix and match since she had a month to promote the show.
I aimed to capture the dreamy essence of Cathy’s work while letting her art speak for itself. This is how I came up with the simple addition of the black rectangle and the white text in her art to create the promotional designs for the show.
